Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks now out for Nintendo DS

December 8th, 2009 admin No comments

Spirit Tracks, the fifteenth installment of The Legend of Zelda series, was released today by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld game console.

Since its inception in 1986, more than 59 million games in The Legend of Zelda series have been sold worldwide with Spirit Tracks expected to become one of this years and next years biggest video game sellers.

spirit_tracksThe game is expected to be the most sought after game this Christmas among Nintendo DS gamers. Spirit Tracks has received high praise from reviewers including the “Best Handheld Game” award at Gamescom 2009, a 91% rating in the December 2009 issue of the UK Official Nintendo Magazine, a 92% rating from NGamer magazine and a 9.0 score from GameTrailers.

Spirit Tracks takes place several decades after The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (released in 2007) and builds upon the touch-screen control interface found in Phantom Hourglass.

New items include the Whirlwind and the Spirit Flute, which allows players to perform music that has magical effects on objects and events in the game by blowing into the built-in microphone of the Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi.

The game also includes a new head-to-head multiplayer mode that lets up to four players compete via a local wireless connection with one game card.

Nintendo DS To Get Tegra 2 In The Future?

November 17th, 2009 admin No comments

Talk of Nintendo using Tegra 2 gained support today through new sources of information that also point to a faster Sony PSP. Detailed explanations given to DigitalFoundry say the sequel to the DSi should use the future NVIDIA processor and not only see a “colossal” jump in speed versus the DS line but could be as fast as the Wii while supporting more visual effects.

That same source also clarifies for the chip itself and says it will be based on the much more recent ARM11 architecture instead of the existing ARM7 design or the rumored ARM9. The combination CPU and graphics core would double the number of texture units and shader (visual effects) cores and theoretically render twice as much at once. While it’s expected to use GeForce 5000-level graphics generations behind NVIDIA’s desktop hardware, it’s likely to use the same 40 nanometer manufacturing process that will drive the upcoming GeForce 300 series and so could run at a higher clock speed while still using less power than the Tegra shipping today.

It’s not known how Nintendo would use the added performance, though it would allow driving the two screens of a DS-like handheld with a single processor, even when at higher resolutions than the existing system. Similarly, it would permit HD video playback and much more complex 3D.

The PSP leak supports rumors that it will use a quad-core SGX543 from Imagination’s PowerVR label and could be significantly faster than the next Tegra if apps and games are optimized for the Sony handheld. Its performance could theoretically sit between the Xbox and Xbox 360.

Release windows for the two aren’t definite and will depend on production schedules for the chips themselves. Tegra 2 will start production in 2010 and could lead to a new system arriving the same year. The SGX543 is more dependent on other companies and may not arrive until 2011 depending on who Sony would have picked to produce the final processor.

While the iPhone can potentially receive a speed upgrade next year, either the Nintendo or Sony releases could significantly intensify competition for Apple, whose iPod touch and iPhone are much faster than the DS and PSP while supporting more online features. The feature gap has put DS sales at risk and prompted reactions at both Nintendo and Sony, which have responded with the DSi LL and PSP Go as well as much more Internet-aware software.

Today, I want to share with you all about the new Nintendo DS Accessories, Nintendo DS Lite Screen Protector.

I guess lot of nintendo users including myself have experience with scratching on DS.

So, I tried an universal screen protector for Nintendo DS.

This screen protector’s unique material enhances your screen by reducing the distractive glare that is caused by reflected light. The surface is smooth and not textured like other screen protectors on the market. Installation of the Screen protector is very easy is to apply, and leaves not residue when removed.

After installing the ColorDrives’ Screen protectors I played a few games and found the experience to be quite rewarding. This protector was just as easy to install and looked great after it was applied. You could not really even notice a difference between the naked display and the display with the Crystal protectors applied.

So you’ve been playing your game for awhile now and having just the best time playing it. That is great! There is just one problem: Your Nintendo DS is now “dead”, and you have absolutely no idea as to why. You have browsed through the instructions and you think you found the problem:

You forgot to charge your Nintendo DS. Alternatively, you accidentally left your Nintendo DS on all night and it drained the battery. Perhaps your younger sister hit the “on” button and you did not realize it in time. However it happened, you are sure your new Nintendo DS is most definitely out of battery power.

That is perfectly okay. Everyone takes awhile to get used to something new. There is just one problem: For some reason, your Nintendo DS did not come with a charger. On the other hand, maybe it came with a charger, but you do not know how to find it. So what do you do?

There are many options available in these games and people do have a great time paying these it is full of fun and enjoyment. There are many people all over the world have a great time playing this game and there are something’s new added each day so there is nothing to get bored about.

Here is the easiest answer: Buy a new one. If you are wincing at the thought of shelling out another ten bucks, relax. Spending ten bucks will actually allow you to use your Nintendo DS which you spent a hundred bucks for.

You know you love how great your Nintendo DS is and you would really like to play it. As you said before, however, it is dead—and you cannot play it. Which stinks, because you were almost to the next level of your game before it simply, randomly, crashed? I hope that you or your game saved your progress. Have a good time and enjoy.
